My goals as a designer are to know the client, to work quickly, and to create an attractive product. My motto is affordable excellence.
I’ve always had an affinity for the printed word. An early adoration of books later turned into a magazine obsession and finally morphed into a freelance design career. My eye for layout was first developed as a sign painter and later honed while working in a print shop.
My design background includes
- two years as art director of the (now defunct) Provincetown Pocket Book (an in-depth guide book to the outer region of Cape Cod)
- seven years as the graphic designer for the Provincetown Art Guide (focusing on galleries and artists)
- eight years designing the advertising and collateral for Homeport Supply (a home improvement company in Newcastle, Maine)
- seven years designing the annual brochure and program for Heartwood Regional Theater Company, also in Midcoast Maine
Freelance projects include children’s books, advertising, business cards, booklets, post cards, letterhead, envelopes, magnets, brochures, programs, rack cards, note cards, books, magnets, menus, labels, posters, mailers and more.
